Meet our Staff …

Cathy Partridge, Pastor …

One thing you will quickly learn about Cathy is that she is passionate about her faith, leading others in their faith journey, her family, and the community.  Cathy joined Caddo Mills United Methodist Church as the pastor in November 2017, after having served as the lead pastor for over two years at Christ United Methodist Church in Princeton, which was a new church start.  Prior to Princeton, Cathy served for six years at First United Methodist Church in Frisco as an Associate Pastor and then Executive Associate Pastor; and two years prior to that at First United Methodist Church Royse City as an Associate Pastor.  Yes, you can see that she has been in ministry with various responsibilities and contexts for over ten years. She describes herself as a “people person” and is passionate about missions and ministries that impact the way people live, learn,
lead and love.  Therefore, the opportunity to meet you  is, well “super exciting” in her words.

Cathy is a Texas native who grew up in Royse City and graduated from high school there. Her college career is long and diverse, having attended courses at Texas A&M Commerce, Whatcom Community College, and Liberty University. Cathy completed her Course of Study classes at Perkins School of Theology in July 2014. Though she isn’t carrying around textbooks anymore, she continues to learn and grow both mentally and spiritually.
Outside of the walls of the Church, Cathy has served for a long time in the Dallas Emmaus and Chrysalis Community, in addition to serving on the leadership team for the Clergy Women of the North Texas Conference, Chair of the Fellowship of Local Pastors for the North Texas Conference, the Board of Ordained Ministry and on numerous Disaster Response teams.  She truly believes the connection between the local church and the broader mission field is intertwined, interdependent, and life giving. Cathy and her husband Brad have two sons, Mitch Murray and Lance Partridge, and a precious grandson, Isaac. They also have a daughter, Heather and her husband Jimmie, and two grandchildren, Shaun and Jaiden.  And we can’t fail to mention their beautiful and loving fur baby, Annie, a rescued Goldendoodle.  Cathy and Brad are both very active, enjoy attending sporting events, long walks, bike riding, golfing, remodeling, crafting and just about anything else that keeps them on the move. Alongside you, Cathy look forward to loving and caring for the people of Caddo Mills through teaching, preaching, missions, and ministry.

Donna Davis, Director of Youth and Youth Adults …

I would like to take a second to introduce myself to you and your family.   My name is Donna Davis and I am the Director of Youth and Young Adult here at Caddo Mills United Methodist Church, since October 1, 2018.  I am a new member here at the church, but I have been cleaning the building for several years now.  I come to Caddo Mills U.M.C from Wesley United Methodist in Greenville, where I was an assistant youth director for 5 years. My husband David and I have lived in Caddo Mills for 19 years, and have raised three sons here as well. Our oldest son, Ryan, is a Professional Civil Engineer, our middle son, Cody, is an Air traffic Control Specialist for the F.A.A,   and our youngest son, Adam is attending college at Texas State.  A year ago, we adopted our friend’s daughter at the age of 19 after her mom had a short three month battle with cancer.  Jayce was only 17 at the time of her mother’s passing. Jayce is in college at P.J.C, and also attends church here at Caddo Mills U.M.C.   My husband and I were both very active in our children’s lives and in the community. We both coached basketball, helped run concession stands at sporting and academic events, and David ran the C.M.Y.S.A baseball league for three years while coaching baseball at the same time.  We were members of P.T.A, and various committees.  We spent the better part of our first 18 years here in Caddo Mills sitting in some sort of bleachers. While attending Wesley U.M.C. in Greenville, I participated in numerous volunteer positions, teams, and events.  I worked on several mission projects and mission trips.  I have done everything from building wheelchair ramps, and front porches, to flooring, painting, and even roofing a house in 100 degree weather. My passion has and always will be to serve our amazing God and make a difference in people’s lives.  I feel that God has guided me to serve and teach where I am needed. I know that he has lead me to Caddo Mills United Methodist Church to do just that, serve and teach. I plan on continuing this growing and wonderful youth/young adult group known as C.R.E.W to the best of my ability.  I want to show them the ways of God by supporting them as they begin or continue their own faith journey. My goals are to guide them through teachings, fellowship, and friendship, with a lot of fun mixed in.  I hope to encourage them to step out of their comfort zones through some volunteer work, mission projects, and community involvement.
As I have already explained to these extraordinary young people, this youth/young adult group is not my group, it is their group.  My purpose is to help direct them to be the young men and women that God has intended them to be.  I will encourage them, support them, cry with them, laugh with them, and help them find their place among this world.   I will learn with them every step of the way.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve, Donna Davis

Jayce Davis,  Director of Missions …

Jayce because the Director of Missions as of November, 2018.  Jayce says “I have a passion to serve the community in missions because I see the need in our community.  I can see the need for a helping hand, and love that the church can help touch the lives of the community in a positive way.”

Besides attending school at Paris Junior College, serving as our Director of Missions, Jayce also plays in our praise band, Crimson Crusade.  She said, “I have always believed that music has a way of touching and bringing people together no matter what is going on in their lives.”

CMUMC is fortunate to have Yount Adults like Jayce, not only on the membership rolls – but actively working to make a difference in the world.

Jayce is the daughter of David & Donna Davis and a resident of Caddo Mills.  Jayce’s fur joy is her fur baby, Chewbacca.
