CMUMC Weekly Update 2-1-18

“Come and see a man who told me everything I have ever done! He cannot be the Messiah, can he?” John 4:9
If you have been concerned about the future of the North Texas Conference of the  United Methodist Church, rest assured that there are some fabulous young pastors, both male and female, coming into ministry.  I spent the last three and a half days at the Board of Ordained Ministry doing interviews with candidates for commissioning.  These talented candidates, as we talked to them about their theology, sermons and the sacraments, made us laugh, cry, and scratch our heads.  I, for one, am thankful that there are gifted people who are still hearing and responding to God’s call on their life and to the living water the Messiah offers us all.
With renewed energy and excited, I look forward to see you all Sunday in worship as we talk about the “Woman at the Well” and celebrate Holy Communion together.
