Meet our Pastor- Nathan Presley

Nathan is native to North Texas. He graduated from Van Alstyne High School in 2006. After a one-year stint at Eastern Oklahoma State College, he finished his undergraduate at Texas A&M University-Commerce with a Bachelor of Science in Speech Communications.

Nathan continued to explore the call to ministry that he had accepted when he was 16 years old and completed his Master of Divinity from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University. Nathan is a Licensed Local Pastor hoping to enter the candidacy process for ordination in the coming years.

Nathan has served in ministry for 17 years. He has most recently served as Pastor at FUMC Kemp and serves as a Chaplain with Enhabit Home Health and Hospice.  Prior to this he served as the Pastor of the two-point charge of Kemp and Becker, Associate Pastor at First Rowlett UMC, Pastor at Community UMC, Copeville, and has served in the North Texas Conference in various ministry positions at Forney UMC, Mabank UMC, and Wesley UMC, Sulphur Springs.

If there is a mantra of how Nathan strives to serve in ministry, it is to serve in such a way to open a relational bridge to introduce the grace, love, and salvation of Jesus Christ, letting them know they are Wanted, Welcomed, Loved, and Accepted.

Nathan is married to Aubrey Caldwell Presley and celebrates 12 years of marriage. They have two children, Nathaniel Cade, who is nine years old (in 4th grade), and Caroline Annelle, who is five years old (in Kindergarten). Aubrey is an Elementary Music Teacher at Mesquite ISD.

Nathan enjoys spending time with his family, camping, playing board games, and building with Legos. As a hobby, Nathan is known to read poetry and science fiction, play a computer game or two, and officiate UIL Junior High and High School basketball.
