CMUMC Weekly Update – 5/3/18

God is doing a mighty thing in and through us at CMUMC!  Do you see it?  Do you feel it?  One of my favorite quotes from Barbara Bush is “Believe in something larger than yourself.”  That quote must have been many other’s favorite as well, because following her passing, I saw it posted on a billboard in Dallas, along Central/Hwy. 75.  What is happening at CMUMC may not be seen by the “world” as having a lasting impact and I can pretty well guarantee that nothing we say will ever be put up on a billboard in honor of our existence – but the work the Holy Spirit is doing in and through us is tangible, the energy is real, the hope for a bright future is well founded!  I am honored to be your pastor and Brad and I love making our home in this community.

I know there are many of you who do not operate by “feelings” and want hard facts, tangible evidence . . . I have that as well.  Tony Gavin sent me all the attendance numbers for 2017 and I entered them in ChurchTrac Online which is the format this church has used to create the church directory, but also has the ability to track attendance and giving.  Since January 1, I have been entering the attendance count and giving number that Tony gives me weekly as well.  And the attendance report tell me that attendance is up by 12% compared to the same time period last year.   12% – that’s huge people!  God is doing a mighty thin and and through us at CMUMC!  Thank you God!
